- 44. okt. 9: Egy partizánjelentés az Ózdi gépgyárban dolgozó 1500 munkást említ
Az ózdi munkaszolgálatosok történetét Vass Tibortól tudjuk, aki szintén ózdi vasas volt.
- 44. dec. 1: Vass Tibor (1922-2007) ózdi munkást az ózdi gyár hadiüzemi parancsnoksága bevonultatta Salgótarjánba
- 45. dec. 18. este: Vass Tibor megtudja, hogy a következő reggel századukat Salgótarjánból Losoncon át külföldre viszik
- 46. dec. 19. hajnal 4 óra: Vass Tibor néhány társával megszökik

A munkaszolgálatosok útvonala így:
- Ózd; a gyár dolgozóit besorozzák munkaszolgálatra
- Salgótarján
- „Salgótarjánban négy bányászt agyonlőttek”
- Losonc
- 1944. dec. 20. Losonc bombázása
- Losoncon a tücsök „nem engedte” őket bemenni a laktanyába, így megmentette az életük
- Egy hegytetőről nézték Losonc bombázását
- (valószínűleg dec. 22.) Tura már Losoncon megfigyelte Paál Zoltánt:
„Amikor losonci bombázás után a Gácsi várból egy vaddisznó szolgálatvezető rátok ordított: „Rühes munkaszolgálatos bagázs! A vezetőtök jelentkezzen, mert közétek lövetek! Álljon elő közületek valaki, akinek nem sárga a nadrágja! A tábornok akar veletek beszélni! Na, lövessek!?” (A tábornok Nagyőszi volt, aki később Sztrecsnóban is megjelent.)
Akkor én ott álltam az egyik ablakban és vártam az én emberem. Kockás nadrágban, magas szárú bakancsban, bőrkabátban, valamint sugárzó óm jellel a homlokodon elindultál Te. Ezért az emberért, ezért a palóc beavatottért gyalogoltam én sok ezer kilométert! Ez az a háromlelkű ember, aki megvalósíthatja a régi álmot. Kilépni az ismeretlenből!…”

- innen szinte egyenes út vezet Nyugatra, az Odera menti Frankfurton át Berlinbe (további 270 km)

- fullscreen display using the ✈ button the map can be maximized to fullscreen display, use the ✕ button to return to page display.
keyboard operation
Keyboard operation becomes available after activating the map using the tab key (the map will show a focus indicator ring).
- moving using the arrow keys you can move the map
- overview map using the + button in the bottom right of the map you can expand an overview map
- zooming in and out using the + and - buttons in the top left of the map or by using the + and - keys you can obtain more or less detail in the map
- switching themes or maps clicking on the ≡ icon on the right-hand side of the map you can view and select available maps and themes
- retrieving information the map may contain elements that contain more information, using the i key you can activate a cursor that may be moved using the arrow keys, pressing the enter will execute an information retrieval. press the i or the escape key to return to navigation mode
- fullscreen display using the ✈ button the map can be maximized to fullscreen display, use the ✕ button to return to page display.
